Michael helps his athletes build and maintain confidence, effectively manage stress and anxiety in the most pressure packed situations, become more resilient, enhance focus and concentration skills, and develop healthy, competitive mindsets that are supportive of both their goals and dreams as an athlete, but also a person competing in life.

With a Master’s Degree in Sport Psychology, hands on experience providing mental performance coaching to athletes from a variety of sporting backgrounds, as well as years of competitive sport experience, Michael has the skills and expert knowledge to provide athletes with the highest quality of mental performance coaching.

His Why.

Michael gained his interest in the field of sport and performance psychology as a result of his experience as collegiate golfer. While playing in college he quickly realized how important the mental side of the game was. He noticed that the players who were winning and consistently finding themselves at the top of the leaderboard weren’t necessarily all that much more physically skilled than him, but mentally they were better than him. Those players had more confidence, were able to maintain focus longer, were more resilient following mistakes, and were better poised when the pressure was on. In an effort to better himself and his performance, he knew he had to improve his mental game.. this led him to a question that, at the time, he didn’t know the answer to:

“Well how can I work on that?”

He found his answer in the aim of mental performance work and the field of sport and performance psychology which is focused on providing athletes with the psychological knowledge and skills to help them perform to their greatest potential.

Ever since, Michael has been driven to share his knowledge and expertise in performance psychology with each athlete he has the opportunity to work with. For him it’s all about providing athletes with the knowledge, tools, and support to be successful in both sport and life.
